The following are some considerations you may be thinking about
as you begin looking for a storage tank. Does it need to be plastic?
Is the plastic tank you want a molded tank or should it be fabricated?
Should the plastic tank be a thermoplastic (PVC, PE, PP or XLPE?
or should it be fiberglass (polyester or vinylester resin)? Is a
steel tank what you really need (carbon steel or stainless)? Do
you need a double wall tank? Are you in need of a cone bottom tank,
a flat bottom vertical tank or a horizontal tank? Open top tank
or a closed top tank? Will the tank be above ground or below ground?
Are there chemical containment considerations? Maybe some elevated
temperatures? What about inlets and outlets? What size fittings
- are they flanged or threaded? Ladders, site gauges, valves, platforms,
heat tracing, insulating, mixers, mixer stands, baffles, or tank
stands?
